Jämtkraft has four areas: Power, Grid, Heat and IT. We produce almost all our electricity ourselves, with the help of Jämtland’s natural resources. Jämtkraft supplies electricity throughout Sweden, but is firmly rooted in Jämtland.
We have our own electricity which is owned by our subsidiary Jämtkraft Elnät. The grid is 8,000 km long and covers most of Jämtland. Around 60,000 customers are connected to it. and our target is to have a grid that is free of disruption.
We supply district heating in the municipalities of Östersund, Åre and Krokom. We offer pellets heating to customers outside the district heating network – everything from installing a boiler to delivering pellets.
Jämtkraft owns, and is constructing and running, a fibre optic broadband network called Jämtkraft Stadsnät. It allows you to watch TV, make calls, surf at 100 Mbit/s, rent films, video-chat and play games.
